Two day hangover, need TGIF beer to resolve it

So since it's a Friday, let's make this a bit yummy looking. I went for a work appointment at Buona Vista, and although that is actually pretty near home, it's even nearer to Holland Village. And as I'm typing this I can actually sense my liver giving me the middle finger and whispering a lot of hokkien to me. None are printable.
I needed to meet my Financial Advisor to better improve my medical coverage, and managed to find a place serving 2 pints of beer at $12++. 2 PINTS!!! Do head down to Drinks & Co., the beers are light, they have a fantastic selection of wines and whiskeys, and the staff are incredibly friendly.
think my first sip was a bit much
I think after work, and boring discussions, I need a beer. Or maybe 10. More if you're paying. And I'm not sure is it because I drank a bit too quickly, but I started seeing weird shit along the street.
To be sure that I wasn't hallucinating, I took a few photos from my phone. I wanted to join in and get my photos taken too, but I'll just keep letting the girls fall on me, preferably boobs face down. It doesn't beat the NUDE COUPLE walking down the street all those years back, but still somewhat entertaining. Thank you tight yoga clothes. From the bottom of my heart.

Needless to say, I had a bit of a hangover the next day, and as such, had to go have a meal for lunch where I needed to totally sweat it out of my system. I dun think it's a standard hangover cure, but it works for me so I'll stick to it.

So I know of this little hidden treasure at Enggor St called Korean BBQ World. At night it turns into a very worthwhile Korean BBQ place, but during weekday lunch, ALL dishes are only $10 nett.
only $10 nett! for all these!

Now, for that $10, you get free flow of the 6 side dishes, a very generous portion of the main dish, be it soup overflowing with ingredients, a bulgogi with 3 times the meat you get at food courts or a seemingly endless bowl of bibimbap. I've brought many massive eaters here, and we seldom need to refill the side dishes. Even the soju costs $13 nett, not that I ever ordered during lunch. Cos no drinking during office hours.

Being a little bit older nowadays, I like to find cheap bargains for food and beverages. And lucky for me, the firm I'm with regularly has lunch catered in. Which means if there are leftovers, the staff gets to eat. A mini buffet. For free.
today's lunch
Now I know what you might be thinking, there is not much veggies on the plate. But they were serving broccoli, so you really can't blame me. It's freaking broccoli. Bleh. I also had nasi lemak in the morning, with 2 big pieces of ngor hiong, but no pics cos I was so damn hungry. Trust me, it tasted great. And now I'm fat from the carbs overload.

So since it's a Friday, I might need to go have a light drink to end the week. And yes, I just did say I'm feeling fat, so to help my waistline, I shall not eat any solid foods. After all, I'll already be just ordering a tower of liquid carbs. Weee.

In conclusion, I'll be hungover till Sunday. That's a 4 day hangover.

Baby Whisperer in action on TGIF

Yes, I admit it. I'm the baby whisperer.
Colleague's baby who has been feeling under the weather
There's just something about an infant that I find irresistable. The smile, the chuckle, the crying, the wailing, the smell. O.M.G the smell. Yes, I know it is mostly due to regurgitated milk they consumed, and you can look at me all weird, but I adore that scent.

That's pretty much how I perfected carrying babies in that manner, one-handed with them facing out, as if they are sitting on a chair, with a soft backrest. This allows them to look around and also allows me to take a whiff of that beautifully scented crown of theirs.

So I was looking for local spas to make it more convenient for me to get a back massage without having to rely on my friend to drive me to JB (see previous post), and came across many, many such pages on fb.
Spas now have medical practitioners

Although, I'm really glad to see that local spas engage in healthcare for men, after all, prostate cancer is a growing concern in our society. Well done, spas. well done. I do wonder where all these trained medical professionals come from though, considering they look pretty young and are already specialists in prostate health care.

They must have studied really hard from a young age. So impressed. 👏👏👏👏👏

This video had me laughing out loud in office, cos it's a Friday and I really needed to not think about work.

Unfortunately it's a little off since the overturn of the travel ban has been upheld, and they are still allowed to eat nasi briyani there. Heng ah. Trump has no idea of the delicacies the nation will be missing out. Or at least will miss tweeting out on.

This is a short post because I will be going for some drinks. Cos it's a Friday. And I'm thirsty. First beer this week. Beer!!!

Mid-CNY

Right, so I'm back on this cos I'm a little bored at work.

It's a Friday, and so far I have:
  1. helped a colleague choose cuff-links online (though she isn't buying them for me, damn it)
  2. taken part in an online contest to win a free retro looking keyboard (LOFREE, I'm adding this awesome link for any soul here to have a chance to win too)
  3. cleared some Alliance Quest nodes in Marvel's Contest of Champions. My Alliance is Singapore Chillax Alliance btw, in case you are also playing and need some company.
Ok, as I promised to myself, we shall move on to current affairs.

HDB is going to spend S$100mil on lift maintenance. That's good, so hopefully we do not see anymore pets on leashes getting BDSM freaky with the lifts. You have to bear in mind, they can't really speak, so 'Bark Bark Woof Woof' could either be "Ooh yeah baby tighter' or their safe-word, kind of hard to tell so let's not play guess what they mean with your pets.

Road safety next. I think road accidents are very much in the news lately. From drivers doing illegal turns, dashing through red lights, sio kan lor (heading the wrong direction) idiots, hit and run bastards (both on the roads and in carparks) and clowns who squeeze their cars at speed through tight and heavy traffic. My personal two cents worth is that this is not a new spat of incidents. All these have been going on since the first cars were sold on our shores.

The first variable that has changed, is the widespread implementation of the in-car camera, which was once upon a time most likely first introduced in a Merc S-Class. The second variable, is definitely the viral usage of social media. Even my 73 year old aunt uses FaceBook and Instagram!! So for those out there who forgot what they learnt during their driving lesson days, I think just simple common sense would prevent you from being filmed by the massive number of car cameras these days. Or if you think you feel like contributing to our reserves via fines, who am I to judge.

I shall not touch on politics as of now, since I can't really be bothered to follow the Trump nonsense. Or the Philippine drug war. Or the Brexit hooha. All I know is, Son Goku of the DragonBall franchise is the mascot for the 2020 Japan Olympics, and that is just awesome.
