Latest drama series! Masters of the LEE.

I am trying to be as non-political as I can be, but this one is too drama liao. I have the same surname, but luckily our family is neither wealthy nor property laden. I think.
fingers crossed...

Then again it's been 36 years, almost 37, so I think I can start uncrossing my fingers. The cramps are getting unbearable anyway. Plus you have no idea how difficult it is to type with crossed fingers. Kind of why there's a gap between the last post to this one. Ouch.

Now, on to the drama series. I admit, I didn't really follow the whole saga, I only read bits and pieces of it, plus a couple of excerpts here and there from mainstream media and alternative news sites. It's hard to find a middle ground when both sides tend to report conflicting views of the situation.

On one hand, the pro-PM side feels he is victimised, especially receiving news of his siblings' post at 3am in the morning. While on hoilday. Knn la, want to talk shit, just make a call, or whatsapp, or email privately la. Post on FB like some spurned lover meh.

On the other hand, the siblings obviously have some grievances, otherwise they will not be posting and airing dirty laundry in public. After all, most people will not be so drama mama if they didn't feel wronged, and that their matters are not addressed in anyway. And these are very high profile families, considering their dad literally built up the nation through his ideals and iron-fistedness.

So, who do we side? Should we take sides? Should we even care?

I think, dun bother la. They want to sort out the sale of the family home, your problem? LHL can't do anything, his hands are tied since there's a government committee to handle the sale/demolition/restoration of historical buildings in Singapore. The Prime Minister has no say in this. In fact, he should be in quite a conundrum since he wants to (I assume) fulfill his father's wishes to demolish the place, and yet got to follow the gahmen on whether he is able to or not. Sounds like he understands how us commoners feel when obeying the laws of this country.

His siblings want more say in the outcome of what to do with the house, and again nothing wrong with that. They are also their father's children. Then there's all those legalities to take note of. Got a few versions of the will, the time it took for LKY to sign the last will, the public (social media) finger-pointing. Aiya, just solve it behind closed doors la.
I just love this pic. Damn funny. Plus now he is back from holiday, easier to handle this continuation of the drama. Not sure if you guys noticed my really intelligent pun from the Masters of the Sea drama? Yeah, I know, I'm brilliant.
I will crush you like a cockroach!

So anyway, I just want to say that dun kaypoh their family business, or leave your opinion just by reading their social media or whatever is reported. Next time when you have to make the dreaded decision to sell off your parents' family home, see if you want your relatives and friends to weigh in with what to do. If you prefer them to mind their own business, then do the same now. Or be like me, order extra beers and snacks, and then watch the drama.

This is definitely the best homegrown drama produced in recent years. No slight to Mediacorp, but I haven't found myself glued to the TV like in the past. Masters of the Sea reruns please? And our own Supporting Actor extraordinaire, Chin Han, was in the series. Looking all young and dapper no less! Read all about him here.

Now to more cheerful reviews. For those who haven't caught Wonder Woman, go watch it now. Drop everything you're doing, and just go.The movie has many really attractive women scenery right from the start, so it's quite captivating.
Monday night movie cos I'm a cheapo
As per my blog, I will keep the reviews as real and as objective as possible.

In my opinion, it's a great movie (Gal Gadot is gorgeous), the fight scenes in slow motion are breath-taking (Gal Gadot, wow wow wow), the storyline is pro feminist (omg omg it's Gal Gadot), and I think the lead actress is ok looking (Gal Gadot, will you marry me?).

hugs and kisses
Excuse me, I need to go take a nice cold shower. And, erm, exercise my wrist.

Well, I dun intend to type too much today, because there are some updates in my life that is taking up a lot of my free time. Although I will gradually reveal and tell all. It's work related.

Signing off,
KJ

Fun Fact: Masters of the Sea was not about Aquaman.
