BKK trip! With Thai pussy photos included...

It's been a long while everyone! Yes, all you 4 readers! One lesser because it's been a long time from my last post, and I'm assuming (only) one dropped out.

As you might have read from my last post, or seen from my instagram account, I went to BKK on my birthday with my girlfriend.

And if you're looking for the dirty pics from our trip, it comes along later in the post. Mai ganjiong (chill). I even have one of me pointing to a Thai pussy.

Yes, someone took a bullet for all you ladies, so please breathe easy. One less predator on the loose. And you know what, she's absolutely worth the wait.
At least someone did. Shame on the rest of you. Pui.
Back to our BKK trip. If I were to talk more about her, all your eyes would be rolling too. I know this for a fact because my friends do it the moment I even start. For that matter, my old nickname CH Lee made its comeback too. It stands for Chee Hong (choosing girls over friends) for the uninitiated. But I can't help it, she's absolutely adorable.

Ok ok, really back to BKK. We took train all the way from the airport to our hotel, cos my wonderful gf booked a place just beside National Stadium BTS, and it was a literal stone's throw from MBK. So that's where we had my birthday dinner. Some shabu shabu place. Note that we didn't take any pics of the name of the place. Cos the food was mediocre to say the least.

Ignore the happy smile, it's only because I had my gf for company. And also we were really hungry, so the food brought the smiles out. That being said, the conveyor belt was full of fish, which tasted decent. Pork and Beef we had to order separately cos we got there a little late and the staff were focused on packing up. Good thing we asked for 4 servings of pork. For her.

Thereafter we were thoroughly unsatisfied, so we needed some beer to wash away the unpleasantness. I knew of this place beside Ratchathewi BTS called CoCo Walk. I went there quite a number of years ago, when it was less crowded and with far fewer watering holes. Nowadays it's transformed to a street with a number of hipster cafes, and thankfully, pubs.

Look! It's my beautiful gf! With not so beautiful me
The biggest change of this place from when I first visited, was that there are now 'working girls' here. So these not really scantily clad ladies will sit with the guys, get them to drink really really quickly, and then get the guys to order more beer. Kind of how every other pub functions in SG. But I dun like strangers drinking my beer, so thankfully my wonderful gf was with me.

Best of all, the handle to the tower that we ordered broke, and we were only about a fifth or a quarter into that tower. So after I got the attention of the staff, they (not very) promptly replaced the tower for us. Then also very generously topped it up to the brim. BEST BDAY GIFT!!! Ok second best bday gift, we had our flight seats upgraded to more legroom, for FREE!!! If you've haven't yet noticed, I like freebies.

The next few days was more of a food hunt, although I messed up our itinerary by going to the floating market on a Monday, and they weren't open. Although we did go to T21 shopping mall before that for a short stroll and snacks. Plus we went to eat some wanton soup with char siew, but I think the standard dropped a bit. Thankfully the servings were really massive.

Really good pic taken by a wonderfully lovely girl
Thereafter we even managed to get a 21% discount on Grab rides! Damn lucky my amazing gf spotted the banner and Grab counter at the T21 taxi stand. The GrabCar was drastically different from those on our shores too.

Try getting this GrabCar in SG!
It probably wasn't the most comfy of rides, but at least it was a novelty. Always wanted to sit in one of these overseas pick-ups. Cos it's so manly. Like me. Which my gf likes.

But we did walk around Sukhomvit area after that disappointing non-excursion, and ended up at a sports pub beside Nana BTS. You can see the prices for yourself.

That's $4 a pint!
Thai beer is quite palatable, and not too gassy that I burp so often. Not bad at all. So after the quick recharge, we went hunting for street food, ultimately ending up with chicken wings as well as nutella and banana wrap around Pratunam area. No pics cos we wolfed all down. Then we dabao (ordered takeaway) for a local chicken rice called Kuang Heng and a Black Truffle burger from Burger King. Also no pics cos we wolfed them down too after our shower. I promise you this, Kuang Heng chicken rice is the best food in BKK by far. No contest. It was delicious even when cold, and that chilli... Woohoo!

So that was 2 days cleared.

We were resting more on the third day cos that's what holidays are about, taking a break. Although our plan was to get the shopping requests done so that the last day would be less of a rush. The night was to head to Khao San, the famed backpackers street. Bloody waste of time.

No wait, if you really like to eat Phad Thai, I recommend Khao San. The pictures dun really show it, but Khao San is a Phad Thai paradise. Out of maybe 30 street stalls, 20 were just freaking Phad Thai. Like wtf man. 5 were selling fried scorpions and other insects, and the rest were fruit juice. And dun even get me started on the pubs...

Ok, just one nice place
Some had a great deal on offer, 3 Buckets for 400baht! Although the buckets are literally those small buckets you get at kopitiams to hold ice, and they pour in some cheap hard liquor with mixers. Horrible.

Good thing we found another parallel street called Rambuttri Alley, where the beers were less pricey, although there was no less Phad Thai street stalls. Must be a damn popular dish. At the end of that street though, we came across wanton mee, braised pork and (surprise surprise) phad thai.

We didn't order Phad Thai...

Of course we had to have some drinks there, but it was so entirely unsatisfying that we had to take selfies to entertain ourselves. The heavy rain didn't help.

Despite the place, my beautiful gf and I had a great time together. Cos she's just wonderful. After all the alcohol, we were heading back to our hotel to rest, when we came across a unique street stall. It was selling fried chicken wings! Of the standard that we were accustomed to, no less! Damn lucky.

On the way back to our accommodations, we noticed a Mac just beside our hotel, so we popped over to take a look. And look at the treasures we found...

I mean, that's a double Big Mac right there. I can't think of any other better after beer food. 4 patties in a freaking burger!

To cut the long story short, we took a slow journey to the airport on the 4th day, and were tired/hungover till we got to SG. Oh wait, I promised the dirty photos...

So yeah, it was the best ever birthday for me, cos I had my wonderful gf with me the whole time. So fun!

Signing off,
KJ

Fun fact: Studies have shown that Phad Thai is actually fully Thai, and not part Thai.
